Please join the UNCG Women’s and Gender Studies Program for our Linda Arnold Carlisle Faculty Award Presentation on Thursday, March 21, 2019 from noon to 1pm in the Maple Room, EUC.

Yarneccia Dyson presents: “Herstory: The Use of Womanism as an Epistemological Lens to Explore Sexual Health Risks and Lived Experiences of Women of Color in College.”

The Herstory project seeks to understand risk perception, sexual decision-making skills, and attitudes towards HIV/STI prevention and testing among Women of Color in the college environment in order to help explain sexual health risks, assess cultural factors, and address the needs of this population.
